Fans worry after Carmen Electra’s ‘painful’ interview where the Baywatch star struggled to speak

Fans have expressed concern following a recent interview with Carmen Electra, describing it as ‘painful’ to watch.

Electra is widely recognized for her iconic role in Baywatch, and it’s a topic that often comes up during interviews.

Recently, she appeared on Dear Media’s The Skinny Confidential with Lauryn Bosstick.

Interestingly, this appearance coincided with Baywatch’s 35th anniversary, making it an inevitable subject of conversation.

However, the interview raised concern among fans, with some even calling it a ‘painful’ experience to watch.

Some viewers noted that the Baywatch star appeared to ‘barely speak.’

“She seems so highly medicated that she can hardly get her words out. This was a painful listen. I can’t imagine sitting there and trying to pretend everything was normal,” one person commented on social media.

“This was rough to watch, had a hard time finishing the whole video! She was all over the place, was hoping for a good interview,” another person added.

In light of the concern, a source close to Electra told the DailyMail that her demeanor was due to a recent bout with Covid.

The illness coincided with the Baywatch tour, making it understandable that Electra wasn’t at her best.

Electra’s role in Baywatch has garnered her significant attention over the years, and she was asked by Extra if she ever felt pressured by the beauty standards set by the TV series.

“I did, because I was always told that I need to lose weight,” Electra replied.

“I grew up studying classical ballet and that was what was happening in my life. So I think as time went on, I would still listen to that and take it to heart.”

Reflecting on her body image during her time on Baywatch, Electra shared: “When I look back, I love my body and I love that I was curvy, and not like, straight up and down.”

“Those times have changed. You can’t do that anymore.”

“For that moment, I really did take it seriously as a professional dancer because that was always engraved into my mind growing up.”
