Salt Bae Reveals Staggering Bill from His Restaurant, Leaving People Astonished

People were left astounded after seeing the bill for a table at one of Salt Bae’s restaurants.

While many of us have experienced the shock of receiving a hefty bill at the end of a night out, this situation is on an entirely different level – especially with Salt Bae flaunting the bill on Instagram.

Nusret Gökçe, better known as Salt Bae, has established a chain of 22 restaurants after gaining fame for his unique method of seasoning food.

One reason for his fame is the staggering cost of dining at his establishments and the extravagant presentation of the dishes.

For instance, their signature dish is the tomahawk steak, which is served covered in gold leaf.

Even a straightforward meal can result in a bill running into thousands of dollars, and that’s without considering the drinks.

Including drinks can push the bill into tens of thousands, with pricey champagne and even a basic pint of lager costing a fortune.

Incorporate the fact that the United Arab Emirates is known as a playground for the super-rich, and you have the perfect setting for an astronomical bill.

Indeed, this is what happened, with the restaurant’s Instagram account sharing a bill totaling 615,065 UAE dirhams, equivalent to approximately $167,500.

This meal, which could buy a house in some areas, included water priced at around $12 each, a beer at nearly $15, and a negroni for $20.

The bill also featured bottles of Petrus, a prestigious and expensive wine, costing $27,225 per bottle.

Additionally, there was the ‘Golden Baklava,’ which, as the name suggests, is baklava wrapped in gold leaf, priced at $106 each.

People were left speechless and unimpressed by the exorbitant prices for food and drink.

One individual commented: “Your restaurant and drinks are not even close to that amount. Your meat quality ain’t even as good as half the other steakhouses.

“Humble yourself buddy, all these YouTube chefs talking s*** on your brand. Get it together bud.”

Another person wrote: “If a person works for a lifetime, he cannot earn this money, this meal will not make you immortal. A person who steals the rights of others can only eat this ridiculous food.”

A third user highlighted the global financial struggles, stating: “This is disgusting to flaunt especially with the emergence of a global cost of living crisis….”

A fourth remarked: “Jesus and here I’m complaining about my $200 wagyu.”
