It’s not hard to describe what it is about these photos that make them so profound, but one word that immediately came to mind was ‘sacrifice’. Judging by these photos we can only assume this is a father who devoted his own life in one of the most difficult and low paid jobs in order to send his son through college.
According to comments posted on Thai forum Pantip, the father lost his wife during childbirth and spent every day of his life working hard to support his son.
The young man posing with his father graduated from Ratchpatr University in Chiang Rai (northern Thailand).
The fact that the son decided to take these photos speaks volumes about his own character as well. Rather than be ashamed by his fathers low economic standing and dishevelled look, he embraced him. We think his future is bright, and that he will take care of his father just like his father took care of him.
