92-Year-Old Man Violently Beaten With Brick While Taking A Walk, Told To “Go Back To Mexico”

A 92-year-old man was going for a walk in an LA neighborhood when he was suddenly attacked by a woman and several men with a brick.

Rodolfo Rodriguez was walking to a park on the Fourth of July when he passed by a mother with her 4-year-old daughter. Without warning, the woman violently attacked him.

She pushed the 92-year-old to the ground and repeatedly hit his face with a brick. She then asked a group of men to help her assault Rodolfo.

A witness to the incident said she heard the woman say, “Go back to your country, why are you here, bad things.”

Rodolfo reportedly suffered from a broken cheek bone, several broken ribs, and has bruises all over his body.

Rodolfo, who knows no word of English, said in Spanish, “I can’t walk anymore. I am in so much pain.” He also expressed that he’s never been hurt like this before.

“I didn’t even bump into her kid,” Rodriguez said. “I just passed her and she pushed me and she hit me until she was done.”

Authorities still do not know the motive of attackers or if there were any other weapons used against the man.

“We are concerned, especially with the type of crime they committed,” Sheriff’s Deputy D’Angelo Robinson said.  “There was what appears to be a 4-year-old child there who witnessed the entire thing. We can’t have these kinds of people like that out in the streets.”
Rodolfo, who is a US citizen, lives in Mexico but visits his family in LA twice a year. A GoFundMe was set up by his grandson to pay for his medical bills. Police have made no arrests but have a lead on the suspects.
