A Woman Complains About Being Called Beyonce, And The Internet Comforts Her In The Best Way Ever

We can always count on Humans of New York to bring on the feels. Over the years, photographer Brandon Stanton has made us laugh, cry, and everything in between with honest stories of real human beings.

This story of a young woman named Beyoncé, posted over the weekend, is no different.

“Sometimes I hate my name because it always draws attention to me, and I’m not a very social person. My family moved this year from Pennsylvania. I was so scared the first day of school that someone would notice me. I wouldn’t even adjust my seat because I thought it would make a noise. One time I really had to cough, but I held it in. When the teacher started calling attendance, I got really nervous, because every time people learn my name is Beyoncé, somebody starts singing ‘Single Ladies.’ And some did, of course. But the second day of school wasn’t too bad. Because everyone knew my name.”

It’s a lovely story. Props to Brandon and Beyoncé for sharing it because it has since opened up the floodgates to some of the BEST COMMENTS EVER SEEN in the world wide web.

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to be thoroughly entertained.

So far, the other two Destiny’s Child members have shown solidarity with Queen Bey.

“Jenny from the Block” can relate.

As do this “Private Dancer.”

This “Fresh Prince” certainly knows what’s going on.

Naturally, his wife agrees.

A porn star completes the mix.

And an Olsen is certainly better than none.

He may know nothing, but he knows the struggle is real.

Something these “White Chicks” know all too well.

Even “Mean Girls” aren’t spared.

But of course, there are worse things than being named Beyoncé, as these ladies can attest.

Some names are a b*tch, indeed.
