This Inflatable, Spiky Shower Curtain Has A “Point” To Make About Water Conservation

Elisabeth Buecher, a London-based textile artist, has created an art installation piece that highlights the need for water conservation.

The curtain starts off looking like this:

For four minutes, you can shower in blissful peace.

Singing is optional.

But at the four minute mark… this happens.

The merciless shower curtain will continue to attack you until you shut off the water and get out.

Works on annoying visitors to your office, too.

“These curtains are not really for marketing but aim at provoking a debate around water issues,” Elisabeth said.

The piece was featured in this Weather Channel segment about green products. Skip to about 26 seconds to see the spikes inflate.
