Here’s what it looked like as Jimmy Jazz’s doors opened at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta. Everyone I talked to was in line for a new Air Jordan 5 that sold out online. pic.twitter.com/opbqIC08mq

Massive crowds gathered on Saturday at an Atlanta mall to buy the new Air Jordan sneakers after lockdown restrictions were lifted.
Shoppers did not practice social distancing guidelines, with video shared on social media showing many people forming lines close together, waiting to get their hands on the new Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” sneakers, according to a report by news station 11Alive.
“Everyone I talked to was in line for a new Air Jordan 5 that sold out online,” tweeted NBC producer Charlie Gile.
The sneaker buying spree has come shortly after Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp allowed shelter-in-place orders to expire and encouraged businesses to reopen.
