Father Arrested After Killing Teenage Daughter’s Dogs Because She Didn’t Do Dishes

A man from Oklahoma has been arrested after allegedly shooting his daughter’s two dogs after she failed to do the dishes.

Jeffrey Don Edwards, the father of a 17-year-old girl, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of animal cruelty after shooting and dumping two dogs by the river.

The teenager claims that her father had an altercation with her the night before and that she had asked her mother to pick her and her younger brother up from their father’s house. When she went home the next day, she found her pickup truck covered in blood. Edwards allegedly used the truck to dispose of the dog’s bodies.

One dog was a golden retriever named Jessica Dawn while the other was a mixed breed called Duck.

Another person at the residence reported that Edwards had shot both of the dogs when he was complaining of a dirty house. He didn’t show any signs of remorse after what he had done.

It was also documented in court that Edwards shared to employees at a nearby gas station that he had lost his temper and shot the dogs after.

This was not the first time Edwards was arrested. He was first arrested in 2011 for a  felony drive-by shooting. He currently faces two charges of animal cruelty and has bonded out of jail.
