Olympic pole vaulter receives lucrative offer from adult site after penis mishap costs him a medal

French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati may have missed out on an Olympic medal, but he still has a chance to earn $250,000.

The athlete participated in the men’s pole vault qualification on Saturday (August 3). Unfortunately, he didn’t secure a medal as his own body got in the way.

Despite the mishap, which quickly went viral, it might not be all for naught. An incident like this has caught the attention of an adult film site.

Ammirati successfully vaulted 5.40 meters and 5.60 meters. However, at 5.70 meters, an unexpected obstacle hindered his progress – his private area.

Footage showed the moment his body part struck the pole, causing it to fall and ruining his chances of earning an Olympic medal.

While commentators at the event “clearly” had a “hard time acknowledging what happened,” social media users had no such reservations and found the incident highly amusing.

One Twitter user noted: “They definitely knew why but just couldn’t say it out loud.”

“When you lose but you still win,” another commented.

Interestingly, the athlete has reportedly received an offer from an adult film site due to the incident.

A letter allegedly from CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker, addressed to Ammirati, was obtained by TMZ Sports.

According to TMZ, Parker stated: “If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw, your talent below the belt.”

“As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show, in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course.”

The incident has sparked significant discussion on social media.

One Twitter user remarked: “When one door closes, another one opens.”

“I guess he won something at the end of the day,” another user added.

A third commented: “He can be a millionaire by just opening an OnlyFans account.”

Will Ammirati respond to the offer?

Reflecting on his performance to the French Athletics Federation, Ammirati said: “I’m just glad I can make people smile and laugh. And who knows, maybe this will be the start of something amazing!”
