Have you ever been curious about how a typical day unfolds for a Hollywood actor?
You might picture sipping on luxurious frothy coffee, relaxing in a chic dressing room, and wearing opulent costumes.
However, it’s not always as glamorous as it seems – something Jennifer Lawrence experienced while working on her latest comedy, which is currently available on Netflix.
In this film, far removed from her iconic role as Katniss Everdeen, the 34-year-old actress portrays Maddie, tasked with helping a reserved 19-year-old lose his virginity before heading off to college.
What makes this role stand out from her past performances, you might ask? Lawrence revealed she spent an entire day without wearing any clothes.
There certainly is a lot to digest here.
Facing the threat of losing her home due to financial difficulties, Lawrence’s character attempts to educate Andrew Barth Feldman’s character on the facts of life in return for money.
Yet for a seasoned professional like Lawrence, working unclothed was just part of the job.
In an interview with Variety discussing the film No Hard Feelings, she said: “Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’
“I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.”
Unlike other films that use strategic objects to obscure nudity, there’s no such modesty in this scene—Lawrence is completely exposed.
Highlighting Lawrence’s acting prowess further, the nude scene even includes a fight, as her character confronts a group of drunken teens trying to steal her clothing.
Admittedly, that’s quite an achievement.
Audiences have praised the scene as ‘fearless’ and ‘the greatest fight scene in the history of fight scenes’.
Despite its brief duration, filming the scene took an entire day.
Recounting his experience with Lawrence, Feldman shared: “We became so close instantly that nothing ever felt weird or unsafe. It was entirely professional.”
Lawrence responded, “Even when I put my T-shirt over your head and motor-boated you? You felt safe?”
Feldman joked, “I felt it was an exclusively sterile and professional environment.”
Boasting an 87 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, No Hard Feelings has won over many viewers and is currently streaming on Netflix.
