Large retail stores are throwing their hands up and will no longer ask customers to wear masks while shopping.
Earlier, retail establishments like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, CVS, and Walgreens said they would be imposing face mask rules inside their stores. However, judging from countless incidents all over the country, the stores now say they’ll serve customers even if they violate mask mandates.
The companies want to avoid confrontations between angry customers and their employees which often result in someone getting hurt.
For example, a Starbucks barista in California was said to be punched in the face for asking the customer to put a mask on.
Another customer in New York allegedly assaulted a manager and bartender after being asked to put on a face mask.
In Michigan, a security guard at a Family Dollar store was shot dead after he told a customer to wear a mask.
