Cher Explains Why She Doesn’t Seem To Age

Cher, the forever-young music legend, has just spilled the tea on her secret to eternal youth.

Known globally for smashing the charts with hits like ‘Believe’ and ‘If I Could Turn Back Time,’ Cher isn’t just a music powerhouse but also a revered actress noted for her roles in films such as Mermaids, Burlesque, and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

With over 100 million records sold, she’s not just a music industry titan but a bona fide pop culture icon.

Yet, it’s not just her artistic talent that turns heads—Cher’s seemingly ageless aura is just as captivating!

Now at 77, Cher is the epitome of radiant youth, and guess what? She’s finally letting us in on her secrets to looking and feeling fabulous.

Despite acknowledging that aging is a natural part of life, Cher is not one to passively watch the years tick by. In her book, ‘Forever Fit: The Lifetime Plan for Health, Fitness, and Beauty’, she outlines the proactive steps she’s taken throughout her life to keep the years at bay.

Cher is no stranger to the world of cosmetic enhancements either.

She believes in doing whatever makes you happy, explaining (via People), “People should do what makes them happy. Frankly, when I saw my face 10 feet tall in close-ups on a movie screen, I wanted my nose done because it really bothered me.”

In a candid reveal to People magazine (via NewBeauty), Cher mentioned her love for skincare products from Dr. Barbara Sturm and Proactiv, although she’s not tied down to any one brand.

The ‘Little Man’ singer also credits a disciplined lifestyle for her youthful looks.

She shared with People, “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs – I never have. I work out. I’m pretty good with my diet, except I like chocolate.”

Cher doesn’t let age dictate her life. She works out five days a week and refuses to “play the age card,” as she told Hello! Magazine. She maintains her youthful vigor, sharing with E! Online that “you have to work twice as hard” as you get older.

On Good Morning Britain, she declared her intention to keep rocking jeans and long hair, “I will still be doing the same stuff I’ve always done.”

And yes, her hair will remain long and black. “Going grey is fine for other girls. I’m just not doing it!” she affirmed in the same interview with GMB.

Cher’s personal life also keeps her young at heart. She’s currently dating Alexander Edwards, a music executive 39 years her junior.

“He’s a beautiful man,” Cher gushed to People. “No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun.”

On top of all her lifestyle choices, Cher credits a prescription for Retin-A, initially for acne, which she discovered also works wonders for keeping her skin youthful.

“I know Retin-A works. I’ve been on a prescription for 10 years now,” she shared (via People).

Indeed, Cher’s blend of self-love, healthy habits, and that essential touch of indulgence (hello, chocolate!) reminds us all that beauty truly does come from within—and a little help from the right skincare doesn’t hurt either.
