Fans are obsessed with new Netflix film that racked up 25.7 million views in just two days

Jessica Alba’s return to the silver screen in Netflix’s new action thriller, “Trigger Warning,” has stirred a mix of reactions from viewers around the world. After stepping away from Hollywood for five years to focus on her business ventures, Alba, a mother of three who famously played Sue Storm in Marvel’s “Fantastic Four” series, has once again caught the public’s attention.

Alba, who first rose to prominence in the early 2000s with her role in the TV series “Dark Angel,” has been part of various film projects such as “Barely Lethal” and “Mechanic: Resurrection.” Her latest project, “Trigger Warning,” has drawn a significant audience, amassing 25.7 million views globally after its release last Friday, despite a paltry 21 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film also received lukewarm responses from other rating platforms, with IMDb users giving it an average score of 4.5 out of 10, and Letterboxd users rating it even lower at 2.0.

In “Trigger Warning,” Alba portrays Parker, a traumatized Special Forces commando who faces turmoil following her father’s mysterious death. The plot thickens as she returns to her hometown and reunites with her ex-boyfriend Jesse, played by Mark Webber, and his father, Senator Swann, portrayed by Anthony Michael Hall. As she delves into her father’s mysterious demise, she finds herself entangled with a local criminal gang, complicating her quest for truth.

Directed by Mouly Surya, the film has topped the Netflix viewing charts, yet it has clearly split audience opinion. Fans took to social media to express their diverse views.

“I friggin LOVED this movie! More of her, more of this!” exclaimed one enthusiastic viewer. Contrastingly, another viewer criticized the film’s screenplay: “The script was really bad and needed a lot of revisions but it was definitely not the movie for Jessica Alba not good.”

Others shared more positive feedback, with one saying, “Trigger Warning on Netflix is definitely on my list to watch.” Meanwhile, another viewer commented on enjoying the film during a relaxed day: “I love paper work days, really sitting here watching a movie Trigger Warning on Netflix is mad good.”

However, not all feedback was favorable. “This movie Trigger Warning on Netflix is annoying and dragging,” a viewer expressed disappointment. Yet, another comment highlighted Alba’s action role: “Watching Trigger Warning on Netflix and you mean to tell me we could have had Jessica Alba being a badass in action movies this whole time?”
