Ryan McHenry, the creative mind behind the “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” meme, lost his battle with bone cancer two days ago.
McHenry became somewhat of a celebrity when a Vine showing himself feeding a cereal-hating Ryan Gosling split the sides of netizens all over the world.
On his Vine bio, McHenry describes himself as a “cancer fighter”. He was 27.

Almost a year ago, McHenry made a promise to continue making videos until he personally gets to #FeedRyanGosling.
After finding out about McHenry’s death, fans took to Twitter for an unusual campaign: to make good on McHenry’s promise to himself, and get Ryan Gosling to eat his damn cereal.

And being the champ that he is, Gosling uploaded this Vine yesterday, and it was pure gold:

In the Vine, Gosling pours himself some cornflakes, then some milk, and finally raises his spoonful of cereal as a toast. #AllTheFeels
Aside from making McHenry his profile pic on Twitter, Gosling tweeted touching words to the family and friends that the 27-year-old left behind:
My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry's family and friends. Feel very lucky to have been apart of his life in some small way.

You will be missed, Ryan. Try not to force-feed cereal to the 27 club.
