Woman captures ‘glitch in the matrix’ in wedding dress photo that has people seriously freaked out

Ever felt like you were living in a simulated reality? A startling image from a bridal dress shopping trip might just convince you of that. Imagine scrolling through countless awkward photos online and stumbling upon a wedding dress picture that makes you do a double-take. This is exactly what happened when Tessa Coates shared her bewildering photo on social media, sparking widespread curiosity and debate.

At first glance, the image seems perfectly normal, but a closer look reveals something utterly perplexing that has left people demanding explanations. Tessa, caught up in the whirlwind of online reactions, took to her Instagram to address the frenzy. “Okay hello! Upgraded from stories to the grid,” she began. “I went wedding dress shopping and the fabric of reality crumbled. This is a real photo, not photoshopped, not a pano, not a Live Photo. If you can’t see the problem, please keep looking and then you won’t be able to unsee it. Full story in my highlights (THE MIRROR) Please enjoy this glitch in the matrix/photo that made me nearly vomit in the street. Also, I’m engaged!”

The mind-bending image shows Tessa appearing in two different mirrors, captured in three distinct poses. This visual anomaly led social media users to draw comparisons to eerie scenarios from the sci-fi thriller series “Black Mirror”. Tessa, amused and bemused by the reactions, engaged with her followers, joking about the surreal experience.

“How…is this possible? Also, congrats!! Delighted for you. And now concerned because those guys in suits will come for you,” one Instagram user commented, half-jokingly. “What in the Black Mirror is happening,” another echoed, clearly baffled.

“I really enjoyed the spookiness of this, I half wish I hadn’t watched your story and learned the rational truth,” a third admitted.

Some tech-savvy individuals attempted to demystify the photo. “It’s very simple. When taking any photo with a modern cellphone, especially in low light, it takes scans from left to right. Any movement will be captured even if not a pano because the mirrors are statically placed but the subject is moving,” explained a user.

Curious about the technical aspects of the phenomenon, Tessa visited the Apple Store to consult the experts. She learned that smartphones function more like computers than traditional cameras, capturing a sequence of images from left to right, which could explain the multiple exposures of her movements in a single shot.

Now, the question remains: Is this merely a technical hicover or truly a glitch in our reality? What do you think?
