World’s First Glass-Bottom “Sky Pool” Lets You Swim 115 Feet In The Air Above London

Forget infinity and rooftop pools, because taking a dip will never be the same again if you do it in London’s latest addition:

A transparent swimming pool suspended between two apartment blocks 10 storeys up.

The 25-metre swimming pool is part of a new development near the former Battersea power station in London.

The “sky pool” will, the developers say, be the first of its kind in the world. Swimmers will be able to look down 35 metres to the world below, separated by only 20cm of glass.

“The experience of the pool will be truly unique; it will feel like floating through the air in central London,” according to Sean Mulryan, CEO of the property developer Ballymore Group.

Flats in the buildings will cost upwards of £602,000, and be available from 2018. If it wasn’t for the price, we’d be completely sold.
