1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton ties the knot amid family concerns

Amy Slaton has entered into matrimony with her new partner, Brian Lovvorn, despite apprehensions from her family.

The star of “1000-lb Sisters” exchanged vows with Brian Lovvorn in a Halloween-themed wedding on October 31, creating a buzz among her fans.

Amy, who turned 38 on Tuesday, had been showcasing her impressive weight loss journey leading up to the ceremony held in Bardstown, Kentucky. This location is approximately 45 minutes from Louisville and about two hours from her hometown, Dixon.

The TLC personality and Lovvorn became engaged after five months of dating, with the proposal taking place in a haunted house, highlighting their shared love for theatrics.

Their Halloween wedding occurred two years after Amy’s separation from her former husband, Michael Halterman.

In the previous year, Amy and Brian faced legal issues when they were arrested at a Tennessee zoo and charged with drug possession and child endangerment.

They later admitted to possessing marijuana and mushrooms, leading to the dismissal of child endangerment charges.

Despite these issues, the couple remained united and have now solidified their commitment with matching rings.

However, not everyone in Amy’s circle was enthusiastic about the nuptials.

Observers noted the absence of her sister and co-star, Tammy Slaton, from the bridal party. Tammy was even seen sitting on a nearby bench, separate from the rest of the wedding party during photos.

This has fueled speculation online, with many suggesting it indicates ongoing tensions between the sisters, compounded by the family’s concerns over Amy’s swift relationship progression.

Discussing her wedding day, Amy shared with People: “I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting, but selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge.”

She expressed excitement about her reality TV show, stating: “I’m excited for them [the viewers] to finally see my Brady Bunch-like loving husband! And that my kids are wonderful and that I’m a boss wife!

“I have a husband who will go outside and play sports with my boys!”

Lovvorn commented: “I’m excited for TLC viewers to see my beautiful bride, and also the cool venue.”

Amy also mentioned that Brian has ‘won over her boys,’ Gage, who is four, and Glenn, who is three.
