Shopping is one of life’s pleasures. It’s also a skill, and one that not everyone possesses. So ladies, scroll down and take some notes: here are 13 mistakes that all girls make when shopping.
#1. Going inside a store to ‘look around.’
LIES.
#2. Giving in to pressure from sales clerks.
A lot of times they are genuinely helpful, but sometimes, they’ll just tell you whatever it is you want to hear.
#3. Under or over estimating your size.
Buy for now, not for what you hope your body will look like in three months.
#4. Impulse buying.
Yes, that prom frock is a bargain and it looks great on you, but your last prom was over 10 years ago. Do you really need it?
#5. Maxing out the credit card.
Spend within your means. Do NOT shop ’til you drop. Please.
#6. Going shopping after you’ve just had a feast.
If there’s one time when you shouldn’t be spending your afternoons in and out of changing rooms, it’s after a big meal. Beware the food baby!
#7. Buying something else because what you really wanted didn’t fit you.
Don’t fill that empty hole with a useless item you’ll never wear.
#8. Shopping just because there’s a sale.
You’re better than this! Don’t give in!
#9. Buying more things because they’re cheaper.
Quality over quantity!
#10. Using retail therapy as an excuse.
“Confessions of a shopaholic” wasn’t written for nothing.
#11. Buying something just because it’s trendy.
Uh huh. It’s 2015, how are those shutter-shades treating you now?
#12. Buying something just because of the label.
Unless you’re rich, your bank manager wouldn’t recommend this.
#13. Buying something that’s hard to pair.
Why would you do that to yourself?
