Chubby was alive longer than most dogs. But that just made the bond between owner Maria Sharp and herself even stronger. If you have a pet, these pictures may bring on the tears.
Here is Chubby. She loved to be held.
This is when Chubby was just a little puppy and Maria herself was just a little kid
Chubby liked being picked up just like a baby
She had no problem conquering the stairs
Christmas was her favorite holiday
Chubby would just sleep anywhere, even the bathroom
She liked to curl up next to towels and bask in the sun
She knew how to be goofy
And she knew how to be downright beautiful
Chubby even helped Maria pack for college
Slowly, however, Chubby’s age caught up with her
She started losing traction in her paws and couldn’t walk very well
Suddenly Chubby became very, very sick
So Maria knew she didn’t have much time left
Here is one of their last kisses
Even nearly deaf and with cataracts, Chubby is still strikingly adorable
She never stopped loving Maria
Even until the very end
Rest in peace Chubby. You will be missed.
