4-year-old Ethan Ferrier lost his dog, who was just 1 year old.
Fern, as she was fondly called, was a springer/cocker spaniel cross.
Ethan only recently learned how to write since starting school last September.
Ethan’s mother, Jodie, said:
He is still devastated 22 months later. The letter is the first thing he wanted to write. He sees me on the internet trying to push the campaign and asks me what I’m doing. I say ‘I’m writing to people to try and find Fern’ and then he said ‘can I write a letter to the people who have got her?’.
So he wrote a letter asking the “bad men” to please return his dog, and posted it to the Find Fern Facebook page.
To the bad men who took Fern. Can Fern come home now please. I miss her.
Fern was said to have been taken from their home on Rushett Farm, in Malden Rushett on Sunday (28 April 2013) at 6:30pm. Which means Ethan hasn’t seen his beloved pet in 2 years.
