This Time Capsule House Hasn’t Been Touched Since The 1970s And Now It’s For Sale

If you’re a little bit in love with the psychedelic colors, matchy-matchy patterns, and funky styles of the 1970s, this might just be your dream home.

The 5-bedroom house in Framingham, Massachusetts, hasn’t been decorated since the ’70s and it’s like a colorful time warp.

Fans of lime green and dizzily-patterned curtains, eat your heart out.

“The original owner built the house and customized it and did all the decor in the early ’70s,” explains realtor Matt Cuddy. And, despite new owners living there for 20 years, they haven’t changed a thing.

Exposed brickwork fireplace? Check. Bright orange shag carpet? Check. Wood paneling with the TV built into the wall? CHECK.

“It’s a time capsule,” laughs Matt, “I remember my own mother decorating the house like this with orange shag carpet and everything.”

Every last detail, down to the blue his ‘n’ hers sinks (with matching towels, obvs) has been unchanged in nearly 45 years.

And what’s the bright pink room you can see through the haze of wooden walls and orange corner seats?

Just the jazziest disco bathroom you’ve ever seen.

The house is on offer for $624,900, and the current owners are willing to sell of leave some of the current furniture to keep this 70s time capsule intact for years to come.
