96-Year-Old Grandma Faces Nursing Home Eviction for Throwing ‘Wild Parties’

Lillian Droniak, the 96-year-old social media star known to millions as Grandma Droniak, says her retirement home warned she could be forced to leave after allegedly holding late-night gatherings in her room. A spokesperson later said the issue has since been resolved.

The online personality shared the claim in a viral video posted to TikTok and Instagram in June, drawing fresh attention to her life in assisted living and the playful, often cheeky content that has made her a fan favorite online.

In the clip, Droniak said the facility where she lives — which she did not identify by name — had issued her what she described as a formal notice over the parties.

“I’m getting kicked out of the nursing home. I just got this letter. It says you’re getting kicked out if you don’t stop the parties,” Droniak stated.

She then read out the message she said she had received from staff.

“We are reaching out because there have been many noise complaints about your room. Parties are not allowed and you cannot serve alcohol to other residents. This is a safety concern.

“While we encourage residents to socialize and enjoy community activities, we cannot have wild parties. It is shown on security footage that people were leaving your room at 1 a.m. last Tuesday.”

The warning also laid out what could happen if similar incidents continued.

“Continued incidents of this nature may result in restrictions on visitors and common area privileges, and could lead to further review of your residency status within the community.

“We kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring future gatherings remain respectful of community rules and quiet hours. No more parties please.”

Despite the warning, Droniak appeared unfazed in the video and suggested the amount she pays to live there gives her freedom to do as she likes.

She added in the video: “I could do what I want. I pay $12,000 a month to live here. I could party if I wanna.”

“My girlfriends are coming over tonight. We’re gonna drink and gossip.

“I can’t help it. I love to party. You can’t stop me.”

The post spread quickly online and even drew a response from Paris Hilton.

The media personality penned in the comments: “You deserve to keep Sliving. Sending you 500k Hilton Honors points so you can go party it up at a @Hilton My Hilton fam will be in touch.”

A spokesperson for Droniak later said the matter had been resolved with the retirement home. According to the representative, she is still permitted to have guests in her room late into the evening, although she is no longer allowed to provide alcoholic drinks.

Droniak first moved into a retirement home in June 2024 following a fall that left her with a broken leg. She has since turned much of her day-to-day life in the facility into social content, posting videos about aging, dating and the realities of life in assisted living.

“I got put in a home. I need assistance. I don’t want to fall again,” she said at the time.
