Churro Waffle Dippers

Regular churros are delicious, but they take a lot of work (and a deep fryer) to make. These Churro Waffle Dippers have all the deliciousness of a regular churro, but only take 5 minutes to whip up! Not only are they super quick to make but they’re absolutely heavenly. Serve these at your next party and people won’t be able to keep their hands off them.

Ingredients:

Waffle:

1 Box Puff Pastry, 2 sheets thawed
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture (use premade mix, or make your own using 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon)

Frosting:

3/4 Cup butter, softened
2 Cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

In a medium mixing bowl beat butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Set aside.

Heat waffle iron. Open pastry sheets and with a pizza cutter, cut dough into squares size squares.

Place four squares of the bite size pieces of dough into the hot waffle iron. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes depending on your waffle iron.

Cook until golden brown. Holding waffles over a plate, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over waffles on both sides.

If desired, cut into smaller strips. Dip squares in frosting and enjoy!
