On Saturday April 7, a family was going home after an outing when they were met with a fatal accident.
Pictured below are siblings Zachary, 5, and Angela, 8, holding hands while recovering from their injuries.
This is the first time the two have seen each other since the accident.
Their parents Jim, 31, and Karisa, 29 did not survive the head-on collision.
They passed away along with their newborn baby, Juliana, who was only two months old.
The two other children, Wyatt, 4, and Nicholas, 2, are suffering from critical injuries but are recovering well. Wyatt, although suffering from paralysis on his left side, has regained his strength through physical therapy.
The children are struggling with grief at the loss of their parents and pain from their physical injuries.
Their relatives have started a fundraiser to help pay for the funeral arrangements and are doing their best to help the children in any way they can.
The Clemens family has received an outpouring of love from many people and all the money they have received will help with the extensive care they need at Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.
Since starting the fundraiser, they have collected over $100,000. Though the journey to recovery and moving on will be a long one, their relatives and the rest of the family are hopeful for a bright future for the children.
