The colorful career history of California Democrat Senator Kamala Harris, rumored Vice-Presidential nominee, is reportedly being scrubbed off online to make her more appealing to voters.
Reports said Harris’ records as a prosecutor and Attorney General of California are being deleted because of her tough stance on crime and other high-profile cases.
She was earlier quoted as saying “it is not progressive to be soft on crime” and Democrats are saying this could be unflattering to voters should Harris be nominated as the party’s VP candidate.
Among the highlights of Harris’ career which are being edited out include her decision not to prosecute Steve Mnuchin for mortgage fraud-related crimes, and her strong support of prosecutors in Orange County who engaged in rampant misconduct.
Wikipedia is said to be pushing back on the edits; and to date, the pro-Harris editor is reportedly winning.
