Brad Pitt has entered the cosmetics industry by introducing a skincare line suitable for both sexes.
“Le Domaine,” which the actor co-founded with organic wine growers Perrin family, seeks to slow the process of skin aging so that everyone — regardless of gender or skin type — can age well.”
“I don’t want to be running from aging. It’s a concept we can’t escape, and I would like to see our culture embracing it a bit more, talking about it in those terms.”
He added that, while the idea of anti-aging is “ridiculous” and a “fairytale,” “what is real is treating your skin in a healthy manner.”
According to the website, the products, which cost between $80 and $385, contain the proprietary active components GSM10 and ProGR3.
It contains antioxidant characteristics, fights against collagen deterioration, and can help balance the skin.
The website claims that ProGR3 targets the outward indicators of skin aging and is produced from a blend of natural chemicals found in plant extracts, vine cuttings, chamomile, and green tea.
“I mean, I’m the kind of person who will change hotel rooms if I can smell the cologne of the last person who stayed there. It’s too much. It’s too strong. Keep it subtle,” added Pitt. “Let people come to you. Don’t force it on others. That’s my feeling.”
The Château Miraval winery is where the concept for the skincare line first emerged. Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s legal dispute is centered on the wine estate.
The skincare business, which specializes in “green beauty,” has refillable items, recycled packaging, and formulae that are between 96% and 99% natural, according to the website. According to the website, it is vegan-friendly and doesn’t include any additives “that are subject of controversy regarding the environment.”
“Landing here — at Château Miraval — opened up a lot of ideas that I wouldn’t have normally considered. And a big part of it is sustainability. This idea of zero waste is something that is really important to this area and important to me,” said Pitt.
Pitt has had a busy few days, and at a group exhibition in Finland, he made his sculpture debut. The Oscar winner has nine pieces on exhibit at the Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere. She wore a knee-skimming linen brown skirt to the “Bullet Train” movie premiere earlier this year.
