Jamie Lopez, ‘Super Sized Salon’ Star, Dead at 37

The beauty industry is in shock after the devastating news that Jamie Lopez, star of WeTV’s ‘Super Sized Salon’, has passed away at the age of 37.

Both her colleagues and the network have released statements following the news of her death. Lopez’s company also took to social media to share the news with the world.

“On behalf of the Babydoll Beauty Couture team, we regretfully announce, with great pain, the passing of The Founder & Owner of Babydoll Beauty Couture, The Legendary Jamie Lopez,” the statement read. “We ask, on behalf of the Babydoll family, that you allow us time to process this tremendous loss. Further details and arrangements will be announced soon.”


The owner of the first plus-size beauty salon in the world, Babydoll Beauty Couture, has died. The salon was featured in the show “Super Sized Salon,” which debuted in July.

No details have been released regarding the cause of death.
