Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West had a special night together on Thursday as they recreated a TikTok video in which North transformed herself into a spitting image of her father, Kanye West.
Despite the rapper’s wishes to keep his children off the social media platform, North, aged nine, showed off her special effects makeup skills, which Kim recently revealed she’s been taking classes for.
Kim, 42, joined in on the fun as she stood next to North, helping her contour her face and draw on facial hair to emulate her dad perfectly.
North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, recently underwent an epic transformation. North, who tucked her braided hair into a black beanie and drew on a fake hairline, completed the look with a black hooded sweatshirt.
Towering over her eldest child, Kim paired mirrored sunglasses from Kanye’s Yeezy line with a sleek bun. As a nod to Kanye, a remix of his 2013 track Bound 2 played over the video, a song in which Kim famously starred as his video vixen.
Kanye West has announced he does not want any of his four children to have TikTok accounts without his permission. In an interview with Jason Lee for an episode of Hollywood Unlocked, the rapper revealed he is taking a more involved role in his kid’s lives, as North West had been the focus of attention for maintaining a TikTok account in the months prior.
Kim Kardashian recently praised her daughter North West for her impressive special effects makeup skills. The reality star spoke about North’s talent on Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP podcast, revealing that the seven-year-old has been taking classes to perfect her craft.
North has been showing off her work on TikTok, recently transforming herself into the Grinch in time for Christmas. Kim expressed her pride for North and her newfound passion.
‘[North] loves special effects makeup, so she’ll be doing scars and faces and bullet wounds,’ she explained to the host.
‘She takes classes on it and that’s what she loves to do so she loves to show it.’
Kim said that making TikTok videos makes North ‘so happy.’
‘The way that she is so creative, the way that she loves to do TikTok and do these videos, and she’ll take my phone and do skincare stuff,’ she gushed.
In November 2021 Kim Kardashian and her eldest child, North, joined forces to create a joint TikTok account. Despite Kanye’s disapproval of North having access to the app, the exes agreed on one rule: comments must be turned off on all posts.
Additionally, the app is only allowed on Kim’s phone so that she can monitor North’s usage. This strategy has proved to be a successful one as the account has already gained over 12 million followers.
