Damar Hamlin Released From Hospital Following Cardiac Arrest

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has been discharged from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and returned to Buffalo, nearly one week after collapsing during a Monday Night Football game in Cincinnati.

Doctor William Knight, who cared for the athlete, accompanied Hamlin to the airport on Monday and reported that he is “doing well” and is “beginning the next stage of his recovery.”

Hamlin collapsed last Monday night after making a tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.

The Buffalo medical team worked to revive him for 9 minutes before an ambulance took Hamlin away to UCMC.

Denny Hamlin took to Twitter to express his gratitude to those who have been supporting him. In his tweet, Hamlin thanked all those who have stood by him.

On Sunday, Bills safety Jordan Hamlin posted a pregame message proclaiming “GAMETIME!!!” after a highly emotional day for him and his teammates. However, shortly after, Hamlin was released from the Bills, resulting in the postponement and eventual cancellation of the Bengals game.

The Buffalo Bills will welcome the Miami Dolphins to town on Sunday for the first round of the playoffs. This will be the first playoff game between the two teams since 2017. It is sure to be an exciting matchup.
