Meet Fetisch Barbie, an Austrian model whose dramatic transformation into her “best plastic self” has captivated over 29,000 followers on Instagram. Describing herself as a ‘fetish icon,’ she’s not just a social media sensation but also a star on OFs.
Her fans can’t get enough, flooding her posts with comments like “Pure perfection,” “You are a dream,” and “Beautiful, wonderful goddess.”
Fetisch Barbie opened up about her pursuit of individuality and self-expression. She shared that her interest in aesthetic enhancements started at the tender age of 12.
“I recall looking at enhanced women and thinking how beautiful they were,” she shared, inspired by icons like Lolo Ferrari, Amanda Lepore, and Mason Moore. But for Barbie, the goal has always been to embrace her uniqueness: “I was never aiming to look like anyone else but me, just more plastic.”
However, her distinctive look has come with its relationship challenges. “I think I used to draw in men and women that were more attracted to my plastic persona,” she said. “But when they saw the real everyday life me – that has to go to bed early because of a photo shoot, that has to recover from surgery or that eats very healthy, some got frustrated.”
She remains unapologetic: “My looks come from my lifestyle too, and I’m not compromising that for anyone.”
Despite her out-of-the-ordinary appearance, Fetisch Barbie emphasizes her humanity, “I like people that have a fascination for it, but please don’t fetishise me. I’m a human being,” she states, adding humorously, “Even though I look like a doll.”
Thankfully, she is buoyed by the love and support of her friends and family. Addressing the detractors, she observes, “I’ve never met someone hating on me that didn’t hate themselves secretly. I left all the bitter people in the past. My family is sometimes worried but they accept me for who I am.”
Currently, Fetisch Barbie maintains her look with regular fillers and Botox, feeling “very happy” with where she is. She’s even considering further enhancements, stating in a past interview with Truly, “I wanna maybe go bigger with my lips. If I wanna go bigger, I’m gonna go bigger.”
Fetisch Barbie also shared a look back at her journey with photos from her youth, depicting her at ages 12, 17, and 18. “Some are pre-goth times and some during and after,” she laughs.
