Charlie Sheen’s ex being questioned over Matthew Perry’s death as investigators say ‘multiple people’ may be charged

Brooke Mueller, formerly married to Charlie Sheen, is currently under police investigation in connection to the tragic death of Matthew Perry. The beloved “Friends” actor passed away last October at the young age of 54 after being found unresponsive at his Los Angeles residence. The LA County Medical Examiner later revealed that Perry’s death was due to the “acute effects of ketamine,” listing it as accidental, while also noting other contributing factors such as “drowning, coronary artery disease, and the opioid buprenorphine.”

Despite the accident ruling, both the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are actively investigating the circumstances around how Perry acquired the substances found in his body.

According to reports from The Guardian, Perry had been partaking in ketamine infusion therapy to help manage his anxiety and depression, treatments he had been open about in the past. However, his last treatment session was noted to be a week and a half before his untimely death, indicating the drugs in his system were not from recent medical infusions.

The investigation intensified when, as In Touch reported, an unidentified woman closely associated with Perry was interviewed several times by authorities. Law enforcement officials, who later searched her residence while she was out, described her as “completely cooperative” upon her return, neither handcuffing nor arresting her during the search which resulted in the seizure of an iPhone and a computer. It was revealed that this woman and Perry had developed a close relationship after meeting in rehab.

Further into the investigation, it emerged that Brooke Mueller, who was married to Charlie Sheen from 2008 to 2011 and shares twin sons with him, has been questioned multiple times by the police.

Mueller, who was approached by authorities at her sober living house, has since engaged lawyers and participated in multiple discussions with law enforcement, maintaining her innocence in the matter.

As the investigation continues, and with potential for charges to be laid against multiple individuals in connection with Perry’s death, the situation remains complex and ongoing. Both Sheen’s representatives and the LAPD have been contacted for further comments on the case.
