Eminem sparks Machine Gun Kelly feud with harsh four-word insult

Despite appearing to apologize for past conflicts with other musicians, Eminem has once again mentioned Machine Gun Kelly.

Eminem’s newest – and possibly last – album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), was released on July 12. The album delves into Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady, and touches on some controversies the 51-year-old rapper has been involved in, suggesting this album could mark his move away from them.

In the song ‘Guilty Conscience 2’, Eminem seems to have a debate with himself, or more accurately, with his alter ego, Slim Shady.

Within the track, the rapper reflects on his past feuds with other artists, mentioning: “Christopher, MGK, Nick, and for Limp Bizkit and them…”

Some fans interpreted the song as an ‘apology’ to everyone Eminem has had beef with, while others saw it as potentially reigniting old dramas.

However, in another track on the album titled ‘Bad One’, Eminem references Kelly again, rapping: “But I gotta keep going Tyson on Kelly / I bodied him twice and already / That little motherf***er’s back throwing subs like a food fight at the deli.”

“That MGK diss was slick on ‘Bad One’ I can’t even lie Eminem will never stop beating on him,” a Twitter user commented.

Another user added: “I don’t get it, it seems like Eminem wanted to reconcile with u guys he f**ked with in the song Guilty Conscience 2. Then on Bad One he again hit on MGK.”

The confusion only deepened with a promotional video for the album.

In a video for Complex’s July 2024 cover story, Eminem sat down with Slim Shady for a ‘face-off’ with his alter ego.

During the battle’s climax, Slim Shady insults Mathers, calling him a ‘fat boy’ and then saying: “MGK f**ked your mother.”

Mathers retorts: “He did, but she’s your mother too, you really need some help man.”

So, is this a jab at MGK and an attempt to rekindle the feud, or is it a critique of his own alter ego? This ambiguity has left fans puzzled.

One Twitter user remarked: “I don’t understand this. At all. He’s MGK’s son? Wut?”

“I’m not listening to this album bcuz he is doing this,” another user said.

And another simply concluded: “So over this beef. Next!”
