Flight attendant reveals her surprisingly generous salary that allows her to live a ‘dream life’

Alexandra Cosoff has revealed that her career as a flight attendant has bestowed upon her numerous benefits, allowing her to lead an enviable lifestyle.

Many professions come with their own challenges, including unnecessary meetings and occasional headaches.

However, an Emirates flight attendant has disclosed how her job enables her to indulge in luxurious experiences while traveling the globe.

Alexandra has outlined that working as a cabin crew member for the airline not only offers generous compensation but also a plethora of perks.

It’s important to note that flight attendants perform far more duties than merely serving beverages.

Keep in mind that despite there being potentially hundreds of passengers on a plane, the crew typically consists of fewer than 10 individuals.

The 33-year-old makeup artist-turned-flight attendant elaborated on the many advantages of her airborne lifestyle, stating it has allowed her to live her ‘dream life’.

Alexandra shared with news.com.au: “After I joined, I started in economy class for one and half years, before I got promoted to business class and the business promotions events team. I have been so lucky. I’ve had the most amazing time.

“Our accommodation is provided and salary is tax-free – and not just that, we have a lot of other things taken care of like transport, laundry, we have full medical and dental coverage. We are very well looked after.

“What was very attractive to me was also not paying tax on top of my salary. I live in my own apartment. You can either get company-provided accommodation or opt for accommodation allowance.”

The starting salary at Emirates is AED4,430 per month, which translates to around $1,206 tax-free, plus an hourly flying rate of AED63.75, approximately $17.

In total, the company’s website lists an average monthly salary, depending on the number of hours worked, of AED10,170 per month, which is just over $2,768.

“I remember seeing Emirates cabin crew on TV with their red hats and striking red lipstick and thinking, ‘Wow they’re so beautiful, I want to do that.’”

Describing her profession as a ‘dream come true’, she encouraged anyone considering a career in aviation to pursue it.

“I have learned so much about the world, other cultures and also myself – and best of all you make amazing friends along the way,” Alexandra added.
