An influencer has shared a deeply emotional message with his followers following the death of his newborn baby last month.
On June 21, TikToker David Allen joyfully announced the arrival of his cherished daughter, Lily Grace Allen, who he couldn’t stop adoring.
However, just five weeks later, on July 27, Lily sadly passed away.
Allen, known for his viral video where he danced in a field while a drone circled him to ‘STAY’ by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber – a clip that garnered 333 million views – revealed the tragic news on his social media channels, including Instagram, this week.
In a heartfelt video, he shared: “So, a few summers ago I posted this video to the internet [him dancing to ‘STAY’] and it did pretty well and I got to travel a lot and meet a lot of cool people, celebrities, be on shows, interviews, things like that, it was really neat.
“But the coolest thing I ever did was welcomed my baby Lily into this world with my wife Jessica.
“She was five weeks old about a week ago when she passed away at midnight.”
Allen, who goes by @ToTouchAnEmu on social media, was ecstatic about becoming a parent for the first time and even humorously mentioned after her birth that he would ‘definitely be farming content off my baby sorry in advance’.
Continuing his message, he said: “I have cried every tear I can possibly cry I think. It’s not easy. I don’t wish this on anybody.
“I don’t even know what to say I’ve waited a week to even mention it because I didn’t know how to talk about it.
“So yeah, I don’t really know what else to say. I just wanted to get it out there I guess.”
He also mentioned that if anyone wanted to do something in response to Lily’s tragic passing, they could make a donation to Children’s Medical Center Dallas in her memory.
Allen informed TMZ that his daughter ‘passed away in her sleep unexpectedly’.
He added that those who wish to send support to him, his wife, and their family can find more information on his Beacons page, linked in his social media bios.
Allen concluded: “Just go hug your little one, squeeze them tight for me.”
Lily, who was only 36 days old when she passed, had a memorial service held in her honor in Texas yesterday.
