A man who purchased a $24,000 house on Amazon soon regretted his decision, expressing his frustration by pleading with his followers to “take my f*****g card away.”
We’ve all experienced the allure of an impulse buy. Despite knowing we may not need it or afford it, sometimes the temptation is just too strong.
While some impulse purchases lead to satisfaction, more often than not, regret quickly follows.
This is precisely what happened to one TikToker, who succumbed to an impulse purchase on Amazon.
Amazon offers a vast array of items, but purchasing an actual house is something most people wouldn’t expect.
Jeff, known as @hittaa_jeff on TikTok, has gained global attention for purchasing a HOUSE – a literal HOME – from the online retailer.
The 23-year-old shared his story on social media, pleading with his followers to “take my f*****g card away” after spending $24,000 on a mobile-like house.
“Amazon is really a dangerous place because, really? Houses?” he mused. “B***h, I didn’t even think twice about it. I just did it.
“I don’t even know where I’m going to put the house.”
Jeff took to TikTok to announce that his house had arrived and that he had even been offered an upgrade.
@hittaa_jeff 5 guys and 27 mins later 😫 ITS HERE😫😍 #FYP #foryou #amazon #house #unfoldhouse #foryoupage #newhouse #update #explorepage #pt2
However, many features of the home left Jeff filled with regret.
“She gave me two couches,” he initially said with some happiness, later mentioning that he now has to keep the house in storage as he hasn’t purchased any land to place it on.
While showing off the inside of the house, Jeff thanked the seller for the extra couches but mentioned they weren’t really to his taste.
To make matters worse, the ceilings were much lower than he had anticipated.
Awkward.
“The ceilings – I’m 5’8, so the ceilings are not too high. They’re very low,” Jeff demonstrated.
In a follow-up video, Jeff admitted he wouldn’t be living in the property himself. Instead, he planned to convert it into a holiday home.
“The plan is to Airbnb it,” he stated.
“That’s a smart decision. The electrical, plumbing and everything, I have all that set up. I just really want to get the permits in hand first to move and get everything situated.”
Hopefully, this way, he’ll be able to recoup his $24,000 investment.
