Channing Tatum’s hilarious one-word response to his daughter possibly watching Magic Mike

Channing Tatum has shared his thoughts on how his daughter will react when she learns about his Magic Mike performances.

Many celebrities face this dilemma as their private past becomes public knowledge through media scrutiny.

While most of us have things we’d rather keep from our children, celebrities like Tatum contend with millions watching their every move.

Channing Tatum has expressed his concerns about the moment his 11-year-old daughter will discover Magic Mike.

In the 2012 film, Tatum stars as Mike Lane, a male stripper.

The film is loosely based on Tatum’s real-life experiences as an 18-year-old male stripper in Tampa, Florida.

During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote his new film Blink Twice, Tatum discussed accompanying his daughter, Everly, to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour.

He also attended the show in London with his fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, and described how the two experiences differed.

Speaking on the show, he said: “I saw it in LA with my daughter.

“Seeing it with your daughter is very different because you know, you gotta like go in.

“I was dancing like I’d never danced before.”

Meyers responded, “That’s a lot coming from you,” referencing Tatum’s Magic Mike days.

Tatum added: “Well you also have to make sure you’re not dancing like you dance, you know what I mean?

“There was none of this,” he said, illustrating a body roll.

“There was zero of that.”

Discussing the inevitable revelation, he noted: “I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance.

“It’s going to be horrifying when it does.”

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tatum acknowledged that he would eventually have to disclose his past as a stripper to his daughter.

He said: “When she’s old enough to watch them, we’ll have that conversation.

“There’s no version of me not having the conversation of ‘Dad didn’t just do them in movies, I was an actual stripper’, so I’m not gonna lie to her.”

In his stripper days, Tatum was known as Chan Crawford and reportedly made $50 a night, plus tips.

He was noticed by a casting agent, which led to his feature in Ricky Martin’s She Bangs music video.

This exposure opened doors to several modeling gigs, ultimately paving the way for his Hollywood acting career.
