A heart-wrenching video filmed on 9/11 captures the moment passengers on a plane learned about the terror attacks.
While many young individuals today recognize 9/11 as a historical event, millions still vividly remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard that multiple planes had been hijacked on September 11, 2001.
This particular video immortalized that moment, showing dozens of passengers on another plane as they listened to the crew describe the horrific events that had taken place.

The footage, credited to Frank Pizzo, has reappeared on Twitter in anticipation of the upcoming 23rd anniversary of the attacks.
Over the plane’s intercom, a crew member tries to remain calm while informing the passengers of the attacks, having received the information from an external source.
One might expect that such devastating news would provoke screams or cries from the passengers, but the video instead reveals an eerie silence throughout the cabin, broken only by occasional murmurs of shock as the events were narrated.
Several passengers put their faces in their hands in disbelief, and one woman appeared to break down in tears while speaking to someone on the phone.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the attacks where hijackers commandeered four planes.
Two of the planes were crashed into the World Trade Center, and one into the Pentagon. The fourth hijacking, Flight 93, failed after passengers fought back, forcing the terrorists to crash the plane in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, instead of its intended target in Washington DC.
Following the attacks, all US airspace was shut down for civilian flights, necessitating the landing of approximately 5,000 aircraft within around two hours.
The attacks were later attributed to Al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization founded and led by Osama bin Laden.
Al-Qaeda conducted the 9/11 attacks as part of its strategy to challenge US foreign policy. In response, the US and its allies initiated the war in Afghanistan, which continued until 2021.
The resurfacing of this footage has prompted individuals to share their recollections of the day, with one person commenting: “I was a sophomore in [high school] and they sent us home from school.”
“I lived a mile from the beach in S. Fl. and drove down A1A to see naval ships and aircraft as far as the eyes could see up and down the coast. Absolutely surreal.”
