Katy Perry’s blunt response to viral photo of Orlando Bloom seemingly checking out Kim Kardashian

Katy Perry has openly commented on the viral photo featuring herself, Kim Kardashian, and Orlando Bloom, and she didn’t hold back.

The past few days have been quite eventful for the singer, who recently took home the prestigious MTV Video Music Award’s (VMAs) Vanguard Award on September 11. She also made headlines with her on-stage kiss with rapper Doechii, which left Taylor Swift visibly surprised.

Her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, was present to support her, and his reaction to her VMA performance quickly gained traction online. However, this isn’t the first time the couple has captured the internet’s attention this week.

This time, it involves Kim Kardashian.

Bloom, Perry, and Kardashian all attended the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women dinner during the Ready-to-Wear Fashion Week at The Pool in New York City.

The event, held on September 9, raised approximately $2 million to combat gender-based violence.

A photo of the trio went viral after people noted that the angle made it appear as if the Lord of The Rings star was checking out Kardashian’s behind while the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer gazed ahead.

Perry soon became aware of the circulating image.

During an appearance on the Elvis Duran Show on September 10, host Elvis Duran asked Perry if she had seen the ‘clickbait’ picture of her fiancé ‘staring at [Kardashian’s] butt’, adding: “I mean, how could you not?”

To this, the American Idol star bluntly responded: “I approve.”

She then questioned: “So wait, what’s the controversy?”

Duran clarified: “There is no controversy, that’s my whole point.”

Perry then humorously added: “Oh, great. Count that click honey!”

It appears Bloom has emerged unscathed, although Perry is known for her candidness, as evidenced by a recent X-rated confession about showing appreciation for a clean kitchen.

On the Call Her Daddy podcast, she stated: “If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d**k sucked.”

Bloom later responded to his fiancée’s remarks by simply writing: “I’ve cleaned the house.”

Likely with urgency.

The couple first met in 2016 but separated a year later. They rekindled their relationship in 2018 and got engaged in 2019. They share a daughter, Daisy Dove, who was born in 2020.
