90 Day Fiancé’s Big Ed Cancels ‘Impulsive’ 24-Hour Engagement After Proposing to Stranger with a Paperclip

Star of 90 Day Fiancé, ‘Big’ Ed Brown, has revealed that he has ended his impulsive engagement.

The reality star had been attending a meet and greet event in Plantation, Florida, hosted at a sandwich shop called Capriotti’s.

During the event, the 59-year-old met 29-year-old Porscha Raemond, and the two appeared to hit it off immediately.

In fact, Brown decided to propose to Raemond less than 24 hours after their initial meeting.

Brown made the spontaneous proposal at dinner, using a paperclip as a makeshift engagement ring.

An image circulating online shows the pair sharing a kiss while Raemond displays her ‘ring’ to the camera.

However, the whirlwind romance was short-lived, as Brown announced its end in an Instagram post.

In his social media update, Brown admitted that the entire situation had been “very impulsive.”

He wrote: “Hey everyone, I want to take a moment to address some recent developments in my personal life.”

“As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment.”

“After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I’ve realized that rushing into this decision wasn’t the right move.”

The reality TV star also praised Raemond, stating: “I have nothing but respect and love for Porscha and I wish her the best moving forward.”

“Thanks, as always, for sticking by me.”

In a subsequent Instagram video, Brown remarked that “love is a crazy thing.”

Brown had previously confirmed his brief engagement to Raemond in an interview with Page Six on Monday, sharing: “I met her at Capriotti’s in Plantation on Friday where I was doing a Big Ed Meet & Greet.”

He added: “They serve the most delicious subs I have ever tried and everyone should know you could meet the next love of your life there!”

This engagement marked the fourth time Brown planned to get married, following a previous engagement to Liz Woods during their time on 90 Day: The Single Life.

Brown and Woods had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship with multiple engagements before ultimately parting ways.

Speaking to Page Six in May after their breakup, Brown mentioned that he had been hitting the gym daily and had lost 19 pounds.
