Diddy’s children speak out to dispel ‘false rumors’ about their late mom Kim Porter after rapper’s arrest

Diddy’s children have spoken out for the first time since their father’s arrest, which resulted in charges related to sex trafficking offenses.

The rapper, Sean Combs, was apprehended at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York on September 16.

Combs faces charges of racketeering and sex trafficking by means of force, fraud, or coercion. Despite denying all accusations, the rapper has been denied bail for a second time.

In response to Combs’ arrest, his attorney Marc Agnifilo stated: “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the US Attorney’s Office.

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but is not criminal.”

Three of the rapper’s children released a joint statement on Tuesday night (24 September) to address ‘false rumors’ about their mother, Kim Porter, following their father’s arrest.

Christian, 26, Jessie, and D’Lila, both 17, shared the statement on their Instagram accounts, with Porter’s eldest son Quincy, 33, also signing it.

It stated: “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumours circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.

“Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”

The statement continued: “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established.”

The siblings concluded the statement by requesting privacy.

“Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories,” it went on. “We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace.

“It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila.”

Porter and Diddy were in an on-off relationship from 1994 until 2007.

Kim Porter tragically passed away in 2018 from lobar pneumonia after experiencing flu-like symptoms for several days.
