Netflix’s latest rom-com series hailed as the ultimate binge-worthy show of the year

Netflix has unveiled a new series that viewers are already dubbing ‘the best show’ they’ve released in quite some time, with many already eager for a second season.

While spooky season may be upon us, there’s no need to add more fear to our lives, especially with holiday countdowns underway and the stir over cuffing season.

Luckily, Netflix has just the solution: a delightful rom-com that will ease your worries. Get ready to be charmed:

This American romantic comedy series, created and executive produced by Erin Foster (known for her work on NBC’s The New Normal), explores the humorous side of failed dating and relationships.

The show features an impressive cast, including Kristen Bell from Queenpins, Adam Brody from Shazam!, Justine Lupe from Succession, and Timothy Simons from Veep.

Foster shared with Tudum that the series delves into ‘failing at dating and failing at relationships and things blowing up and finding the humor in it’, focusing on the characters Joanne (Bell), an agnostic, and Noah (Brody), an ‘unconventional rabbi.’

Adding to the mix are the couple’s differing views on religion and life, along with the challenges of modern dating and complex family dynamics. This series delivers the kind of heartwarming, laugh-out-loud rom-com that fans have been longing for since the days of Bridget Jones.

It hasn’t taken long for Netflix viewers to take to social media and share their thoughts on the series.

Currently, Nobody Wants This holds an impressive 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and an 89 percent on the popcornmeter.

The series was discussed in LADbible’s Facebook Group Netflix Bangers, where users shared their views on the new release.

One Facebook user commented: “Best binge-watching show of this year so far. Loved it.”

Another said: “I liked it definitely needs another season asap.”

A third added: “I’ve watched it twice already.”

“Probably the best show Netflix has put out in a long time,” another viewer noted.

Another shared: “Amazing, uplifting, stunning, best show I’ve seen in years.”

Though the show premiered on September 26, calls for a second season are already growing. But is there hope for more episodes?

Creator Foster told Indiewire: “We’re getting a really positive response. And so I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season Two. The story in Season One unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season Two I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves.

“I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!”
