Woman Who ‘Died and Returned’ Describes Her Experiences in Heaven and Hell

A Kansas woman experienced a dramatic near-death episode, leading her to share remarkable insights about the ‘afterlife’.

Many individuals wonder about the implications of their life choices and ponder the unknowns of life after death.

However, Charlotte Holmes from Wichita has a narrative that might reassure those apprehensive about the afterlife. This stems from an incident that occurred in 2019.

During a routine visit to her cardiologist, the 68-year-old Charlotte experienced an alarming spike in her blood pressure to 234 over 134, leading doctors to suspect a stroke or heart attack.

Her heart ceased beating for 11 minutes, during which she was pronounced clinically dead.

Charlotte has since shared her profound experience of ‘heaven’ and a harrowing glimpse of ‘hell’ on the television program The 700 Club.

She recounted the spectacular and serene visions she encountered while clinically dead, describing her journey to ‘heaven’.

Charlotte remarked: “I could smell the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever smelled, and then I heard music.

“When I opened my eyes, I knew where I was. I knew I was in heaven.”

She described being accompanied further into heaven by a group of angels.

Charlotte elaborated: “I can’t convey to you what heaven looked like, because it’s so above what we can even imagine, a million times.

“There’s no fear, it’s like pure joy when the angels take over.

“They didn’t look old, they didn’t look sick, none of them wore glasses. They looked like they were in their 30s. Yet it says in the scriptures, ‘We will be known as we were known’. I knew them there in their new bodies. They looked wonderful.”

One poignant aspect of her experience was an alleged reunion with a child she had lost.

Charlotte reminisced: “I can remember thinking, ‘Who is this?’ And I heard my heavenly father say to me, ‘It’s your child.'”

Speaking about this personal moment, she shared: “I lost that child. I was five-and-a-half months pregnant. I can remember them holding the baby up and saying, ‘Charlotte, it’s a boy’. Then he was gone. So when I seen this toddler, I said, ‘God, how is that possible?’ He said, ‘They continue to grow in heaven – but there’s no time, it’s eternity.'”

Alongside the ethereal beauty of heaven, Charlotte claims she was also shown ‘hell’ as a cautionary vision.

She described the experience: “God took me to hell, and I looked down and the smell, and the rotten flesh – that’s what it smelled like… and screams.

“After seeing the beauty of heaven, the contrast to seeing hell is almost unbearable.

“God says, ‘I show you this to tell you, if some of them do not change their ways, this is where they shall reside.’ I heard my father say, ‘You have time to go back and share.'”

Charlotte took this message to heart and recounted feeling drawn back into her body, which occurred at the moment her husband observed her eye twitching.

Following her resuscitation after 11 minutes, she fully recovered and was discharged from the hospital after two weeks.

Sadly, Charlotte passed away in 2023 at the age of 72 due to a heart attack.
