Lily Allen, the renowned singer, has disclosed that she earns more income from selling images of her feet than she does from her music career.
The ‘Smile’ songwriter has always been open about various elements of her life, especially regarding her relationships and personal experiences, but this revelation is quite surprising.
Whether one approves or not, OnlyFans can serve as a profitable income stream, particularly for singers or actors, as fans are eager to access exclusive content.
Many users use the platform to share behind-the-scenes glimpses of their work, lifestyle, and daily activities, while some opt to share more risqué content.
Allen chose the latter, though not in the usual manner.
There is a market for those who are particularly fond of feet, and Allen is tapping into it successfully.
Having joined the site a few months ago, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter tweeted on October 25 that her foot pictures have been more profitable than her other ventures.
“Imagine being an artist and having nearly 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify but earning more money from having 1000 people subscribe to pictures of your feet,” Allen posted.
She shared this insight in response to a critical comment about her OnlyFans account.
The commenter said: “Imagine being one of the biggest pop stars/musicians in Europe and then being reduced to this.”
Allen replied: “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”
Her supporters agreed, with one stating: “Selling foot pics is nothing to be ashamed of. It pays all my bills. Get that money, girl.”
Another added: “For 10 grand a month I would share pictures of my actual soul.”
Allen’s OnlyFans subscription costs $10, potentially earning her around $10,000 monthly from her fanbase.
The musician launched her OnlyFans in July after discovering her popularity on wikiFeet, a site that features celebrity foot photos.
On her Miss Me? podcast, Allen remarked: “I have a lady that comes and does my nails.”
“She said that I could make a lot of money from selling foot content on OnlyFans. And I’m like, ‘Not no.’”
However, she needed to discuss it with her Stranger Things husband, David Harbour, before taking the plunge.
Allen explained: “Yeah, he is, he thinks it’s great.”
“At first, he was like, not turned on, but he was like, ‘Is this a kink for you?’ And I was like, ‘No, it’s totally not a kink,’ but maybe there’s something in the power element of it that’s slightly kinky for me.”
Now, Allen seems to be having the last laugh as she continues to earn well from her feet, and as long as the demand persists, her financial prospects look promising.
