A woman who has gone on dates with 50 different men has opened up about the specific type of man that gives her the ‘ick’, even though she admits to being a ‘hypocrite’ in this regard.
Navigating the dating world can be quite challenging, and finding someone who is humble, caring, funny, and attractive often feels like a daunting task.
One woman, however, has taken her dating experiences to the extreme and has shared that there is one kind of man she cannot tolerate.
After dating 50 men, Tilly, who shares her experiences on TikTok under the username @tillytalkz, has a clear idea of what she wants in a partner.
Her Hinge profile indicates she’s searching for an ‘Essex boy’, particularly from Chigwell, a town in the UK. She prefers someone who works in construction, describing her ideal match as a ‘proper lads lad’.
Tilly stated, “I’m a princess, I wanna go shopping.”
She later elaborated that her main goal was to date a ‘rich’ man.
In one TikTok video, she recounted a recent date where she arrived 25 minutes late due to London traffic.
Even though her date was ‘really nice’ and exuded a lot of ‘Essex energy’, she was turned off by one specific trait.
Tilly found the man to be excessively ‘flashy’, and his constant talk about money was a major turn-off for her.
She later admitted it made her sound hypocritical, considering her desire for a wealthier partner.
According to Tilly, ‘money talks, wealth whispers.’
She explained, “One thing I cannot stand in a man is when he keeps talking about money. If you’re trying to tell me stuff like that to impress me, it’s actually going to do the opposite, and I’m gonna run so far in the other direction.
“Be cool, be subtle, be humble.”
Offering advice to those seeking a future partner, she added, “If someone cringes you out and it’s just the first date, you should not see them again.”
She appreciated the ‘gentleman’ for paying for her Uber home, considering it a thoughtful gesture.
People in the comments shared their own dating experiences, with one person writing, “I’m also doing 50 first dates! It’s taught me soooo much.
“I went on a date recently and it’s changed my mindset on 50/50, and I now LOVE traditional dating. Hereeee for it.”
Another commented, “Why do the guys you date have to have money? It’s def not the way to find happiness!”
Tilly replied, “Why would I date someone who’s broke?”
A third commenter added, “The money for the taxi thing though reminds me of a ‘dad’ like that’s something my dad would have done.”
