Over the weekend, Pete Davidson made an unexpected appearance on Saturday Night Live, where he showcased the progress of his extensive tattoo removal.
Just last month, Davidson caught his fans off guard when he was seen with his friend Machine Gun Kelly at an event hosted at The Room at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
A photo from the event revealed the outcome of Davidson’s tattoo removal process, with a t-shirt exposing his now unmarked forearms.
Davidson, who previously had numerous tattoos in black ink covering his arms, has since had them removed.
On Saturday, November 2nd, Davidson returned to SNL for a musical segment alongside host John Mulaney.
The actor and comedian was a staple on Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2022, but surprised viewers with his presence on the latest episode.
Mulaney participated in multiple sketches during the broadcast, including one that involved a cameo by Davidson.
In one sketch, titled ‘Port Authority Duane Reade’, Mulaney and Andrew Dismukes are seen shopping at a Duane Reade store.
Davidson makes his appearance in the sketch wearing a white Rodney Dangerfield t-shirt, revealing his arms.
While some tattoos were noticeably faded, others had disappeared completely.
This marks a stark difference given that he once had over 100 tattoos.
Davidson has previously discussed his desire to remove some of his tattoos, noting that he had already initiated the process in an interview with Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers in May 2021.
Regarding the removal process, Davidson explained: “It takes, like, three hours — you have to get there, like, three hours earlier — to cover all your tattoos.”
“For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much,” he added.
In July 2021, Davidson updated People Magazine about his tattoo removal journey, expressing a wish to complete it by the time he turned 30.
He mentioned, “They said by the time I’m 30, they should all be gone. So they got like two more years left of this.”
Having turned 30 last year, Davidson’s recent public appearances indicate that the removal has been largely successful.
