Body language specialist analyzes Jake Paul’s ‘relief’ as he bows to Mike Tyson

A body language specialist has analyzed Jake Paul’s response after completing eight rounds with Mike Tyson.

Jake Paul stepped into the ring last night (November 15) to face the legendary boxer in what was one of the year’s most eagerly awaited bouts.

Taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, neither Tyson nor Paul managed to secure a knockout, with the 27-year-old internet star and boxer emerging victorious on points.

The match, broadcast on Netflix, concluded with scores of 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73, all in favor of Paul.

Near the end of the fight, Paul showed respect by bowing towards Tyson. Following the bow, the two fighters shared a brief moment of connection with their heads.

In regards to this gesture, Inbaal Honigman, a body language expert, told UNILAD: “Mike Tyson and Jake Paul acknowledge each other as they know the fight is nearing the end, and Jake, in particular, is in awe of Mike and wants to show how much he respects and admires him.”

“When Jake Paul bows to Mike Tyson, he is not only grateful, but he is sharing his relief to Mike as if to say, ‘it’s over, we did it.'”

Honigman further elaborated on Paul shaking the 58-year-old’s hand post-fight: “Jake Paul has so much admiration for Mike Tyson, and when he shakes his hand, it is to make sure that Mike Tyson understands how much he respects him.”

“It is to show Mike that he did amazing at the age of 58 and he should be proud of himself. The handshake is also to say, ‘we got the job done, look at the venue, look at this being on Netflix, this is absolutely huge.'”

Additionally, the body language expert discussed when Tyson suggested Logan Paul as a potential future opponent.

Logan responded by claiming he would ‘kill’ Tyson in the ring.

“When Logan Paul says ‘I will kill you Mike’ when responding to a potential fight, his eyes light up as he knows there could be some interest in it,” Honigman observed.

“Logan looks excited and is happy to be in the limelight and speak about it as he is now in the conversation.”

Despite Tyson’s defeat, many viewers praised his performance, emphasizing that he is 31 years older than Paul.

“You all can say you wasted your time, I didn’t. That’s Iron Mike Tyson,” one person remarked.

“You got to see him box. He’s 58 years old. He made you believe he could do it. He didn’t go down. Dude is an actual living legend.”

Another viewer added: “Mike Tyson still had it in him and He’s 58! Bro went 8 rounds.”
