Man Could Reap Huge Profits from Selling 200 Land Rovers Purchased in 2015

A man who purchased 200 Land Rovers almost a decade ago has shared the significant offer he received to sell one of them.

While most of us were spending our extra cash on takeout and unnecessary items, Charles Fawcett had a more strategic and thoughtful approach.

In 2015, he decided to invest in 200 new ‘last of the line’ Land Rover Defenders. This decision, which may seem unusual at first, was actually quite calculated.

Now, Fawcett finds himself in a position where he could earn a substantial amount of money by selling just one of these vehicles from his collection.

In 2000, Fawcett established Twisted, a luxury automotive company in Yorkshire, UK. The company introduced its first Land Rover specific performance parts that year, according to its website.

By 2003, the first fully Twisted TD5 90 demonstration vehicle was built, and by 2009, the company was crafting numerous custom vehicles for Land Rover Defender enthusiasts.

In 2015, Fawcett told Supercar Blondie about his trip to the Defender production line in Solihull, England, where he acquired 200 new Defenders.

If you had the foresight to purchase one of these vehicles in 2015, it would have cost you approximately $42,000. But today?

People are now eager to pay a substantial amount, reportedly offering as much as $268,000 and more, for one of the 16 Twisted-modified vehicles available for sale.

Multiplying that by 16 gives a total of over $3 million. Why didn’t anyone advise us to invest in Land Rovers back in 2015?

Fawcett notes that all these vehicles were ‘registered in 2016 after production ceased, making them among the last models produced and arguably more collectible,’ which has increased their value.

Moreover, these cars have less than 30 miles on them, so they’re practically new. They are all based on the highest Land Rover specification available at the time, the XS Spec.

Fawcett mentioned that the 16 vehicles for sale were ‘selected for their chassis numbers and build dates.’

“They’re special, and when twisted, each one is the only one. Hence the limited run is called One of One,” he added.

Customers have the option to choose between a petrol or diesel engine and can upgrade features such as wheels, suspension, brakes, and tires. There is also a custom LED lighting option available.

Fawcett concluded: “All of the 16 will be Twisted, but exactly how depends on the lifestyle and tastes of the customer.”

“The Twisted way isn’t to tell people what their Defender should be; it’s to work with them to create a Defender that’s the best fit for them.”
