Grammys performer issues apology after ‘aggressive’ on-stage crotch adjustment

A Grammy performer has issued an apology after he was seen adjusting his crotch following a performance.

The Grammy Awards have returned, bringing along their fair share of controversies.

It’s always eventful when a gathering of celebrities is involved, but at-home viewers got an unexpected surprise during the broadcast.

They witnessed a moment more suited for the privacy of one’s home.

Benson Boone’s onstage ‘adjustment’ at the Grammys was captured on video, sparking widespread discussion.

The singer of “Beautiful Things,” whose tracks have dominated the charts for the last two years, delivered a performance of his hit song at the event.

The 22-year-old ended up leaving a more memorable impression than he planned.

His act featured an outfit change, highlighted by Heidi Klum and comedian Nikki Glaser assisting in the transformation.

After the women removed his clothes, Boone, now in a tight blue suit, performed a backflip off a piano at a climactic point of the song.

If you haven’t viewed this performance before, you wouldn’t know that this move is a staple in his act, executed with precision.

However, his choice of outfit might have contributed to the subsequent moment.

Once the song concluded, Boone ‘aggressively’ adjusted his crotch.

This incident triggered a social media frenzy, with comments suggesting he had ‘fixed his little Benson.’

One user humorously asked: “Wait… Does Benson’s crotch have its own website and media manager yet?!?!”

Another remarked: “Guess those are the beautiful things he won’t shut up about.”

Benson has since addressed the situation on Instagram, apologizing and explaining that his outfit was ‘extremely restricting’ in ‘certain areas.’

He posted a photo with the caption: “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight that thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”

Despite his impressive performance and album, Boone did not win the Best New Artist award, which went to newcomer Chappell Roan.

A fan replied on his Instagram: “you were robbed and i’m so sorry. you deserve so much better. but this next album will win a grammy.”

During a red carpet interview prior to his notable performance, Boone shared with People Magazine: “I’m doing really good. As you can tell there’s a lot of energy flowing through my body right now.

“This is very crazy for me. There’s a lot of cool people here. I’m really excited to perform. I’m kind of like… crapping my pants right now.”

He continued: “In between four-and-a-half and five years ago I discovered I could sing. Ever since then I do it every day. It’s like my greatest passion and I’m just happy that I could make a living out of it.”

Though he didn’t take home the award this time, there’s always potential for future recognition.
