Emotional Scene as Eagles Legend Don Felder Faces Onstage Medical Emergency

Fans were sent into a frenzy after a video surfaced showing Don Felder experiencing a medical emergency during a performance earlier this week.

The former Eagles guitarist was all set to deliver a memorable show for his eager fans, who came to see him live on Thursday night (February 13).

Felder had just wrapped up sharing the backstory of the song Tequila Sunrise during a Rock Legends Cruise performance when he encountered a medical issue on stage.

A video on YouTube shows the guitarist beginning to play the song, thrilling the audience, before he started to sway. He paused his playing and tried to approach the microphone, at which point a woman from backstage came to assist him.

She, along with a team of others, escorted the musician off the stage, as fans expressed concern and support, with one fan shouting love for the artist.

Fans also took to social media to express their well wishes.

One YouTube user commented: “I hope he heals up real quick. Tip of the hat to the considerate crowd !!”

Another user added: “That’s hard to watch. Hope he’s okay. One of my fondest memories of the Eagles was that live video of Don and Walsh trading licks back and forth at the end of Hotel California.”

A third shared: “I just hate that for him. I met him once backstage. Such a great guy and talented musician!️ Praying it was only dehydration and he’s all well soon. Love you Don!”

One concerned fan mentioned: “This kinda stuff makes me squirm in my seat… It really freaks me out. Like literally trying to hold on for dear life, even though it’s not happening to me. – But luckily he had assistance right away. I mean, it looks like the woman caught his signal immediately.”

Felder’s team provided a health update via his Instagram page, clarifying that the issue was dehydration.

The statement read: “We appreciate everyone’s concern regarding Don Felder’s abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise.

“After receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids and is feeling much better.

“To ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully, we are working on rescheduling today’s show and adjusting the remainder of the cruise schedule accordingly.

“Thank you for your understanding, and remember – drink your water!”
