Ben Affleck has shared his thoughts after a video of his son requesting $6,000 sneakers went viral. The video showcased Affleck’s response, which many have described as typical of any father dealing with a child’s expensive taste in fashion.
Despite having an estimated net worth of $150 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, Affleck’s children do not always get their way, as evidenced in a widely circulated video featuring the actor and his 13-year-old son, Samuel.
During a shopping trip for sneakers, Samuel showed interest in a pricey pair of Dior Air Jordan 1s worth around $6,000.
In reaction, Affleck humorously remarked, “That’s a lot of lawns you gotta mow there.”
The actor from California also noted that his son was attracted to the shoes primarily because of their hefty price, whereas Samuel defended his choice by stating, “No, they’re tough! I’ve always said they look good.”
The Oscar and BAFTA award-winning actor’s response received praise on social media from fans who appreciated that his children are expected to earn their allowances.

He continued, “You do not need thousand dollar shoes. He’s like, ‘We have the money.’ I’m like, ‘I have the money, you’re broke!'”
Fans once again commended Affleck’s approach to parenting.

Samuel is one of the three children Affleck shares with Jennifer Garner, whom he was married to for ten years before they separated in 2015.

Discussing his role in the upcoming action sequel, set to release in theaters this April, Affleck expressed at the premiere, “It’s a really interesting set of characters. There are great performances in it, and I feel very confident saying, go see this movie. You won’t be disappointed. See it in theaters – I really think you’ll love it.”
